Family Session ~ Easter Weekend

We spent our Easter weekend visiting some of my family in LaGrange.  It was a beautiful weekend and Luke had a blast hanging out with some of his cousins, aunts and uncles.

While my own little one spent some quality time with some of his extended family, I spent some time photographing another big family!

I’m so glad this sweet family was available to meet up with me on the Saturday morning of Easter weekend.  Originally, we had planned to do the session in Auburn, where I’m sometimes able to meet up with out-of-town clients.  After I found out about this family’s river cabin not too much further away, however, I knew we had to meet there.

Getting a large family together for a photo session is no easy ordeal… especially when little ones are involved.  It’s so important to make time for them every once in a while, though, as your family grows and changes and adds new members.  I loved being able to photograph this family at a place that was so special to them.  To me, it makes these pictures all the more meaningful, and something this family will have to treasure for years to come.

I took a ridiculous amount of pictures.  I couldn’t help myself… beautiful kiddos at all different ages, running around, along the beautiful backdrop of this river… I just kept on shooting away!

Here are some of my favorites so far as I make my way through the final images…

  • Karrie - Gorgeous photographs!

  • Brooke Bailey - Thanks for photographing our family. The pictures are beautiful. I can’t wait to see the rest!
