Isn’t it amazing how God puts people in your life at just the right time… people who end up being such a huge blessing to you? A couple of years ago, as I was exiting one career path and entering a new one, I was on the lookout for someone to watch Luke while I worked part-time with my HR job. Our dear friend and Luke’s first babysitter was moving many states away and I couldn’t imagine ever finding someone else that I’d feel as comfortable with watching my little boy.
Then along came Rebecca… or “Miss Becca” as Luke calls her. At first she was going to watch Luke the 2 days that I worked my HR job, but very shortly after, the company I was working for went out of business and that need was gone. When I knew I wouldn’t be doing HR 2 days a week anymore, I can remember asking her if she would be interested in watching Luke every once in a while when I did a photography session or needed to edit. Although my dream at the time, I never imagined that my little business would grow enough that we would need her help as much as we have over the past (almost) 2 years. Whether it was for a weekday session or some much-needed editing time… I have felt so blessed to have Rebecca to care for Luke and I know there is no way I could’ve handled the workload over the past 2 years had it not been for her help. As any mother knows, it is such a huge blessing to have someone you trust… and someone your child adores… to care for him or her when you need it.
Recently Rebecca and her husband welcomed their 2nd beautiful blessing… a little boy named Grant, who joins big sister Morgan (one of Luke’s very favorite people). We have been so excited about Grant’s arrival and I could not have been more thrilled to capture these early moments of him along with his beautiful big sister.
Rebecca and Chris, congratulations on your family’s newest blessing. Rebecca, thank you so much for all you’ve done for me over the past 2 years… I am forever grateful and hope that you’ll enjoy a few of my favorites so far from Baby Grant’s newborn session!
