Lane won’t actually be turning two until later next month… but he lives many many miles away, so we had to get this session in when we could! This little guy is very special to me. His mom was the first person (outside of family) to watch my little one when I returned to work part-time. As all moms know, trusting your child with someone else is a very hard thing to do… but I knew from the moment I met Mindy that my baby would be in good hands. Little did I know, she would grow to be such a dear friend.
Sadly, Lane and his family left the hot & humid south earlier this year to return to their beautiful homeland of Wyoming. We have missed them dearly and missed watching our boys (who are only days apart in age) grow & play during their second years of life. When Mindy gave me the news that they’d be returning for a visit after being gone for 9 months, I was so excited.. and the first thing on my mind? Lane’s pictures. All I asked for out of their visit back to Georgia, besides some time to catch up with Mindy & let the boys play, was a much needed photo session with Lane. He must’ve known how important this one was for us, too, because he pulled out all the stops. I couldn’t have asked for more out of my (almost) 2 year old subject.
Mindy, thank you for taking the time out of your visit to share your beautiful child with me and my camera. We woke up to rain and dreary skies on the morning of our session but the Good Lord brought us sunny skies and perfect temps by the time we walked outside for our session! Here are some of my favorites so far!
